We were appointed to install a show flat for an apartment in southeast London the client was looking to put on the market. Due to this, the client’s budget and deadline were tight.

Having previously been used as a rental, we assessed the main items left in the flat to see what could be saved from the last tenancy. Unfortunately, the only item in a good condition was the carpet.

Our concept idea was to recreate a loft style. As the apartment was a maisonette and targeting young professionals, it felt the like this quirky aesthetic would help the property to stand out on the market. Both walls and woodwork were painted in soft, beige tones and the ceilings were in a lighter shade of the same colour. This was to allow us to bounce more light around the space.

Furniture and accessories provided black accents, which contrast nicely with the light tones of the walls and ceilings. To soften the space, we added rugs and splashes of colour on bedding and cushions.

Lighting wise, we kept downlights in the communal areas. In the dining room however, We suggested a pendant over the table to help break down the space without using physical partitions. The Bedrooms retained pendants, but we updated the shades to match the design in each of them.

The transformation resulted in a much more marketable apartment and saw a great ROI for the client.
